Essentially......... Me
My name is Joravar Gill. My favorite color is red. I'm 17 years old. Born on January 11 1996 in Penticton BC, I've moved 3 times and all those time in Penticton. I've traveled to every Continent at least once and have seen to many different places for holidays or just to visit family and friends. I'm more of a quiet person who doesn't really talk to anyone unless i am talked to first. In school I've always more of a science and discover oriented person. I would like to make some kind of scientific impact tot society in some way in my life time. But my real goals, are to join the Canadian navy as as a general sailor, get a degree with the Forces, become a administrative officer on the ship to try to later become a captain of a naval ship. These goals were realized when i went to Victoria when i was 11. While in Victoria i went to go on a tour of a naval ship, and soon realized that i want to command that ship. Also being in Victoria where the pacific fleet is located I soon wanted to live in Victoria for the rest of my life. It seemed like a great place to live, Being the place where the parliament building is located and is also the capital of BC my home province. There i want to do the things ive never been able to do in Penticton like, go sea diving, learn to surf, own and later live on a boat and other things like that. Ive made some really great friends in cadets who all want to join the military in some way, so deciding to join the navy and be in some contact with them was a obvious choice. By now you probably know i really like the ocean and to be in the water. I like places close to the sea where you can just relax and clear you mind while under the sun. This is what i want to do for the rest of my life. Join the navy to serve my country, live in a place where all the impotent decisions and events happen and finally live close to the sea where i think i can be the most relaxed and be myself.

The book
In the book The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Mikael Blomkvist , the main character, is given the task of finding out what happened to a wealthy mans great niece Harriet. He is told that he will be given information about a man who he had recently reported on which turned out that all the source information had been a lie. With this info he could of redeem himself and put out the truth about the man. But the last time he had been given info about this man it was all fake. At the time he was given the case he was very suspicious with the man who is giving him the task Henrik Vanger, but later trusts him and helps him find Harriet. If i was in his shoes i would have at least wanted a piece of the info before hand to confirm he had it. As he was already fooled once, now paying for it by losing his job and statues as a journalist i wouldn't want to be fool twice causing more trouble and a possible loss of everything he owns. Since the man he is trying to report on is very wealthy i wouldn't want to get wrong info on him twice. Henrik said he knew the man from a few years back hinting that the info might be old, almost to old to be useful. Or their could be no info at all and all his work would be for nothing. Wit these odds i would of at least wanted some sort of sample to keep him going. Since most people usually only do things if the know there will be a reward, i would of wanted a sample. He had been fool once and lost his job and statues, Twice would make him loose everything else he had.

English 11 book impressions
I've been reading the book "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" and so far its good but a very detailed book. Its like a mangled mess of a book. Not to say its bad, its like a old man telling you a extremely detail story on one side but a model just telling you all the good parts on the other. Its a great book but has its ups and downs. The book forces you to be able to visualize everything you read with its incredible details and descriptions of the characters and what they do. The description goes down to the very texture of a persons skin and every scene the re-describe the character. Since this book is very descriptive it is very easy to visualize everything which makes it very easy to know everything that's happening. But this can also make the book very boring. Some of the details are repetitive, and others you just don't understand because of its high use of a higher level of vocabulary. I've only read about 61 pages so far but right now the book is starting to get interesting. But the amount of prior knowledge you need to know before actually reading this book is allot. They frequently talk about places that aren't all that known in general western american culture. The book takes place in Stockholm Sweden so unless your familiar with that area and some of the surrounding towns around Stockholm you just have to go with it. In conclusion the book is very interesting and even more interesting if you like detective/crime books like this. Its full of detail which can be good or bad depending on your tastes but in the end its a good book. Even thought I've only read 61 pages I'm interested in this book.

#15 For 90 seconds
List: siringe, bandage, cast, knife, siccors, medicine, injury, bed, tv, hospital food, blood, ballon, curtain, forceps.
I was walking along when a dinosaur with a balloon tied to its tail and a cast on its leg came up to me asking "do you have any scissors so I can cut my cast off?" I told him I didn't but I knew where I could get some. So me and him wrote our motor cycles to a pharmacy. But the pharmacy was closed because the owner needed to get some more medicine. We went back to our bikes but we found them stolen. In front of us was a frog with wings make out of bandages on its back. So instead we decide to ride the frog to the park where the scissor tree is. But people are afraid to go to the tree because if you get cut by the scissors you will bleed purple blood. So we were really careful going to the tree. We carefully got the scissors but Mr... Dinosaur got cut on his hand. His hand was slewing purple blood everywhere. So we got on our winged frog and flew to a place Mr... Dinosaur told me. It was called the place were you could treat any injury shop. I don't know why its called that but I live in a place where there's dinosaurs on the reg. And flying frogs, so... Yah. Anyways we arrived at the shop and went in. We found a bed surround with golden curtains and a lizard lady with a orange wig at the cash register. She asked if what happened. So I told her and got Mr... Dinosaur on the bed to heal his injury. But I later found out it would cost 3 billion dollars. So I had the brilliant idea of stealing the bed and flying away. By the way the bed is on a flying turtle. So we told the turtle to fly away and we also stole some hospital food on the way. The ride was bumpy so we lost the scissors but found magical forceps that could cut open anything. We carefully cut open the cast and to our supprize found the leg crawling with green dogs. These dogs wouldn't come off unless we bought a syringe filled with dog-be-gone medicine. We found a general store that carried these syringes for ten dollars and bought it. The was a deal on in the general store that sold you a pair of knives with your medicine. So we were excited to by the medicine. Conveniently the general store was having a sale of TV's. They were being sold for 60 cents. Me and Mr.. Dinosaur agreed to buy the TV because we were tired from the journey and also because its like 60 cents for a TV, who wouldn't want that TV low of a price. Anyways we got back on our turtle and flew back to my home. My home is on a green cloud in the sky. We went home and just watched TV and ate the hospital food. Also I am a cat.

My Top 3: Post Apocalyptic Movies
I will base my criteria these different characteristics:
1. Having to use survival skills (finding food, making a fire, makeshift shelter etc)
2. Have some kind of goal (to get somewhere, to find something etc)
3. Face some kind of major threat that could or will danger thier lives (rock slide etc)
4. Danger present at all times (like other survivor, bandits, mutated monsters etc.
)5. Something that makes this survivor special.6. Showing the hardship of the Apocalypse
#3 I Am Legend(2007)I chose this at #3 because this movies about a plague kills most of humanity and transforms the rest into monsters, and a sole survivor in New York City who struggles valiantly to find a cure. He uses his military scientist knowledge and skills find/make a cure for the a virus that covers the city. With these skills he gave himself a resistance to the virus before the movie. With the cure he will cure the city of the monsters by administating a syringe, making curing this a difficult task. He meets two survivors at some point who were coming to the city by hearing a radio that he had put up. But they make a fatal mistake causing grave danger to them and the making of the cure. In this movie there is a clear goal, a major threat and some kind of danger thats present at all times. but this movie lask use of major survival skills as he has a load of food stacked up in his house and seems to have ease finding more food. Him having military scientist skills makes him unique. With the lack of survival skill use, which to me is the most importent part of a good Post Apocalyptic movie sets this movie at number three.
#2 The Book of EliI chose this at #2 because this is a post-apocalyptic tale, in which a lone man fights his way across America in order to protect a sacred book that holds the secrets to saving humankind. In this movie. Throughout this movie he shows off his extremely good fighting skills and survival skills by walking through a post Apocalyptic land for 30 years before the movie. His goal is just going west which is explained why later in the movie. In this land he faces Constant danger of being attacked by bandits, which he is attacked by and prevailes many times. But at some point he gets somewhat side tracked from his goal which eventually leads him to facing his biggest threat he has faced yet. He has amazing survival skills, and with these survival skills he goes west. He is in counstant danger of being robbed by bandits but his amazing combat skills keep him away from death. But the amazing part of the movie (this is a spoiler), is that he is completely blind throughout the movie making his journey extremely amazing. But this movie is really about the journey he had, it doesnt show the hardship of how it would
#1 The RoadI chose this at #1 because is a post-apocalyptic tale of a man and his son trying to survive by any means possible. He is just a ordinary man with his son, trying to survive by savaging food and items just to try to fill their bellies. Their goal is like is simple, survive by any means. A goal which i think would be the only goal you would have if a apocalypse to happen. With every passing day the have the threat of bandits and highway gangs killing them. This is considered both a major and constant threat because of him just being a ordinary man with a child. The only thing he has to defend themselves is a revolver with 2 rounds. The main thing that makes him special from the rest is that he has a child to care for and how in this place, he is the few who believes in doing good things. The rest have come to cannibalism or murdering other humans. This movie greatly shows the hardship of an apocalyptic world. This movie in my eyes is the movie to watch to see how a apocalyptic would would be without to an ordinary person without any of the special great people who change the world. It meets all the requirement above and is just a great movie to watch, a little depressing at times but a good movie none the less. I put this at #1.

Blog #1 Changing History
The historical event i would travel myself into what the event that happened september 11 2001, the 911 attack. this attack changed how the world saw the treat of terrorists and made 1st world countries get very involved in this war. This war has killed 2 million people in total over the last 30 years of this war.
On september 11 2001 America suffered the loss of 3000 people with 6000 injured. This loss was because of 2 planes which crashed into the Twin Towers. These planes we soon found out to be piloted by the Al Qaeda, a group which was controlled by Osama Bin Laden, a now dead terrorist leader. This attack on American soil caused NATO and there supported countries to take action and try to stop this war. The war which is still going on in the middle east. This has caused many to loose there homes, jobs and loved ones to a war which from what i have heard is all about power distribution. From what ive seen from videos and stories from a couple of people who have been to afganistan with the Canadian Forces, the main reason for the fighting is getting power and controlling the country. This war must be stopped before it spreads world wide. The reason i chose 911 as the base of time i would appear is because i wasnt there for when it happend. I dont know the destruction that happened and the fear and anger it caused to America.
The war has been going on for 30 years. North America got involved after the 911 attack. The countries at war have become economicaly weak, lossed lives and have started to question other countries. This war like many wars before it will spread until some agreement of peace is made.
